Bishop Alan Young was born February 17th , 1953 into a family of 10 children. Growing up in
Michigan in a small town and coming from a family that had very little to offer financially. He
was blessed to have a mother who knew God and raised him up in the beauty of Holiness. He
attended the Cassopolis Public School system and graduated from high school in 1971.

After graduating he was united in marriage to his wife Veronica (Taylor) Young and two sons
Christopher and Craig were added to this union. God has been gracious to Bishop Young and
added unto his family with daughter in law Ruth, and four grandchildren, Analysa, Jackie,
Marcus and Cy.

Bishop Young received the Holy Ghost in 1975 and sat under the teachings of his late pastor
Suffragan Bishop Harold A. Scott. After moving with his family to Texas, Bishop Young was
called by God into ministry and began pastoring in 1986, founding the church which was
named Grace Apostolic Temple. Many lives have been touched and saved through this
ministry and the ministry continues unto this day under the church name of Grace Covenant
Christian Center of Austin, Inc;

Bishop Young believes in a wholistic walk with God, to where a whole life commitment is
given to God for a life of ministry, not just merely religious activity. By reaching the whole
man, heart, mind, body, and soul, mankind will be properly prepared to meet and handle the
diversity of life’s complex problems and obtain victory in our lives.
